Milonga with Ricardo Peixoto, 3rd Sept. Classes from 10th Sept. usual format.

Welcome Back Milonga "THE RETURN" .

At last we can welcome our dancers back to a traditional style milonga and with the music of our much appreciated "resident" DJ, Ricardo Peixoto.

Ricardo together with Su Park founded Tango Warwick and made St Mary's its home. It is especially apt to restart after the lockdown there and with him. However it means we can't have many more than 40 dancers, and we have to be satisfied with 3 hours of dancing.

We have strict COVID SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: for all Tango Warwick events in September we require participants to be in a position to show they are fully vaccinated by the time of arrival, and to take a lateral flow test before arrival. This is more than having an NHS domestic pass. We will use Test & Trace.

St Mary's retain some covid conditions eg on use of kitchen.

There will probably be people who because of covid prefer to restrict those they dance with. Please respect this: the cabaceo is a good tool, and is anyway encouraged. You are welcome to bring an arm or wrist band to indicate you do not want to be asked to dance, and some will be available on arrival. However using them should not be necessary.

The main aim is to welcome back once regulars and intermittents, together with a warm welcome to newcomers. We expect a superb evening dancing on St Mary's new floor, to Ricardo's choice of music.

There will be some nibbles, with some wine and soft drinks for early arrivers, but BYOB if you want to be sure.

If we get full we will stop any more bookings and not let anyone without a reservation in. We are not gender balancing.

PS Classes with Luis & Elizabeth resume on Friday 10th with the usual traditional timing and format; 6.30 to 7.30 Fundamentals with beginners welcome, 7.15-8.15 Improvers, 8.30-9-30 Int/Adv, 9.30-1030 approx practica. Same covid requirements as above (vaxx +test).
