This week for Tango Warwick sees the December edition of our monthly milonga on Friday, details below, and on Saturday a long awaited re-visit from Diego Riemer & Raquel Greenberg with 3 workshops of 90 minutes on tango, milonga, and vals, from 12 noon to 5.30 pm Booking required . For your diary: 2021 World Champions, Barbara Ferreyra & Agustin Agnes will be giving classes at St Mary's Leamington on Fridays 15th & 22nd Dec from 6.30 to 9.30 + practica. Please contact me if you are interested in having a private class in the afternoon before either set of classes.
Milonga La Ideal (pre -advent edition) Friday Dec 1st:
Winter officially starts on December 1st; Advent on Sunday 3rd. How better to celebrate these than in the warmth and welcome of Tango Warwick's December edition of their monthly milonga? a period of calm in which to savour lovely dances to superb music before the bustle of Christmas takes over. With our resident DJ, Ricardo Peixoto, the music is bound to be superb!

We will be at home in Warwick SPACE. It is a large room with a decent floor, in a space reminiscent of Buenos Aires' Sunderland Club (some say), and with great acoustics. (see https://youtu.be/DXSYRjzcjpQ)
There will be some nibbles, soft drinks, fine cordials and wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish.
It will be the friendly, joyful, and lively milonga tango dancers have come to love. Above all there will be a warm welcome for visitors, regulars, and once regulars, alike. Quoting a distinguished tanguero "a lovely milonga with a barrio feel, very good and friendly social dancers and a fluid ronda."

WARWICK SPACE is on the north side of the main road north of the river between Leamington and Warwick; next to the Black Pug pub, aka Millwright Arms, and almost opposite a Sainsbury local. It is a short walk from Warwick Railway Station, and not far from M40 and A46. There are several hotels & B&B's nearby in this tourist area. The Castle Limes Hotel is a few minutes away. The Jephson in Leamington is about 1.3 miles away. Some swear by its breakfast. You can now even stay in Warwick Castle grounds.
PARKING is mostly on road, especially towards Warwick on the main road or Smith Street (one way, going East), on back streets (not very easy), or towards Warwick station. The St Nicholas Park car park is about 10 minutes walk away but you probably could do with a torch on the way back.
