Milonga Ideal (August Edition), in the centre of England.

It's Milonga Ideal this Friday!  So no classes at St Mary's, they resume on 9th August, but there will be Space practica as usual on Wednesday (8.15 to 10.15, visiting tangueros most welcome). For details see earlier notices or Tango Warwick facebook page, eg

We are in the geographical centre of England, so a perfect place to break a cross country journey, or to enjoy tango after a heavy day of tourism at the feast of tourist sites around us.

MILONGA IDEAL (AUGUST EDITION)

Friday August 2nd sees the next edition of Tango Warwick's traditional milonga. We will welcome Evita Guerrera** as guest DJ in her first appearance with Tango Warwick. Do come and join us!

We will be at home in Warwick SPACE. It is a large room with a decent floor, in a space reminiscent of Buenos Aires' Sunderland Club (some say), and with great acoustics.

There will be some nibbles, soft drinks, fine cordials and wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish.
We encourage good tango, nice ronda and cabeceo!
It will be the friendly, joyful, welcoming, and lively, milonga tango dancers have come to love. Above all there will be a warm welcome for visitors, occasionals, and regulars alike.
TIME: 8pm to midnight.
PLACE: Warwick SPACE, 71 Coten End, Warwick CV34 4NU.
COST (at door) : £12 (£8 for students with student card). IN CASH. Prebooking not required.

WARWICK SPACE is on the north side of the main road north of the river between Leamington and Warwick; next to the Black Pug pub, aka Millwright Arms, and almost opposite a Sainsbury local. It is a short walk from Warwick Railway Station, and not far from M40 and A46. There are several hotels & B&B's nearby in this tourist area. The Castle Limes Hotel is a few minutes away. The Jephson in Leamington is about 1.3 miles away, fairly inexpensive, but generally found adequate. Some swear by its breakfast.   5DEKenilworth hotels are a short drive away.
PARKING is mostly on road, especially towards Warwick on the main road or Smith Street (one way, going East), on back streets (not very easy), or towards Warwick station. The St Nicholas Park car park is about 10 minutes walk away but you probably could do with a torch on the way back.

** EVITA GUERRERO, our guest DJ: "Professional tango dancer, teacher and Argentine TangoDJ, with more than 10 years in tango. She musicalizes the milonga in Buenos Aires, and tours Europe and the Middle East. Currently on Tango Tour bringing a bit of the essence of Buenos Aires in each musical selection."
